A newly-released article titled “First Open-Coast HF Radar Observations of a 2-Phase Volcanic Tsunami, Tonga 2022“, led by CODAR company co-founder Dr. Belinda Lipa, has been published in Remote Sensing journal as part of the Special Issue: “HF Surface Wave Radar: Improving Performance and Extending Capabilities”. It outlines a novel analysis of the Tonga event showing up in data of SeaSonde HF radar stations located thousands of miles away from eruption site, seen both from the initial atmospheric propagating Lamb wave generated by the eruption and, later, the water wave tsunami propagating through the ocean.This article is available online at https://doi.org/10.3390/rs15092325
